ROLE DETAIL

Position Title:

Refractory Installer

JOB OBJECTIVE

A Refractory / Installer role involves constructing heat-resistant surfaces and components within industrial processing equipment such as furnaces, reactors, boilers, kilns, dryers, and heat-treat equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for the installation and maintenance of refractory materials and products.
  • Inspect, prepare, and fit refractory linings and insulation, check for defects and repairs, mix and cast refractory concrete, install and repair kiln furniture, and fabricate and install pre-cast shapes.
  • Repairing and constructing refractory linings using fire bricks and ceramic fibers.
  • You must be able to work from engineer drawings and operate industrial vehicles.
  • Electric welding and acetylene burning are the essential parts of the job.
  • Monitor and optimize the kiln and cement lines, from raw materials to finished product.
  • Verify that equipment is maintained in the proper original condition
  • Gathering, collating and analysing process and downtime information on kiln line and cement mills and associated equipment
  • Performing any other process efficiency related duties as reasonably required by line management
  • Actively involve during all the Plant shutdowns and support production team to achieve all the tasks including refractories requirement and installation.
