Job Role

Assist the Transport Officer with the day-to-day operations of the Wheels to Work (WTW) Scheme. Post holders will be expected to be flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to their post and may be asked to perform other duties, which reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

 Main responsibilities:

  1. Collect vehicles from the designated location and carry out vehicle checks before commencing assigned duties.
  2. Return the vehicles in a clean condition with adequate fuel, to its designated parking location, secured and the keys returned to their overnight place.
  3. Maintain vehicles and keep in a clean condition.
  4. Complete and return vehicle defect sheet/log sheet on daily basis.
  5. Collect and deliver mopeds to clients’ homes or work for services or breakdowns.
  6. Conduct home visits within North Lincolnshire to assess storage security, assist Transport Officer with enforcement visits as applicable.
  7. Assist the Transport Officer with the WTW client handovers at Midland Road Depot.
  8. Support the Transport Officer to liaise with WTW clients to plan moped services, book CBT Training courses, collect information on moped checks, mileage deadlines, ensuring they are adhering to terms and conditions of the moped use and behaviour whilst on the scheme and work closely with external garages.
  9. In the absence of the Transport Officer, process new WTW clients, in accordance with procedures.
