Position Title:

Industrial Cleaner

JOB OBJECTIVE

An industrial Cleaner also known as a CCNSG labourer, or site operative is a skilled worker responsible for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks in industrial environments. They ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained in accordance with industry regulations and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize industrial equipment, machinery, tools, and work areas to remove dirt, grease, oil, debris, and other contaminants, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Dispose of waste materials, hazardous substances, and chemical residues safely and responsibly, following proper procedures and regulations for waste management and environmental protection.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery, such as pressure washers, steam cleaners, and vacuum systems, safely and efficiently, adhering to operating instructions and safety guidelines.
• Assist with spill response and emergency cleanup operations, including containment, absorption, and disposal of hazardous materials, to minimise environmental impact and prevent accidents or incidents
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on cleaning equipment, tools, and personal protective gear, reporting any defects, malfunctions, or maintenance needs to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
